Religious Violence and Cruelty

Why do people pretend that religious violence isn’t happening? Why isn’t anything decisive done? The world needs to take a hard look at the Holy Books used by religion and take note of the violence within. I know a lot of you don’t believe strongly enough to read on…

Most religions speak of a loving, caring, creator, but the God in the ‘HOLY Books'(all of them) seems to be violent, vindictive, cruel, and evil. If you don’t agree you likely haven’t read your own book through. Blood sacrifice, mass killing, cruel tests of faith, mass drowning, turning to salt, and much more.

Take a look at these links:

Cruelty and Violence in the Bible

Cruelty and Violence in the Quran

Cruelty and Violence in the Book of Mormon

Here is a quote from Thomas Paine…

“Whenever we read … the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize humankind. And, for my own part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.” — Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason

Perhaps people are being deceived by an evil entity that delights in the violence. Entertainment for a cruel but powerful being. It is more probable that the books were written my men. A kind and just God wouldn’t be a party to those books! This kind and just God is one I could follow suspect that a kind and just God would be highly disappointed in anyone who takes those books written by men as God’s word. Perhaps they are one way evil is misleading people.

Does God live on earth? If not then God’s an Extraterrestrial by definition!
